ELG's in Practice by Gay Wilkinson

This training course is provided by the Pre-school Learning Alliance. It is designed to meet the needs of practitioners who want to know more about the early learning goals and the good practice that underpins early years care and education. Each student will receive an extensive set of handouts about the early learning goals. The course is divided into eight sessions each two hours long. The headings for these sessions are as follows: An overview of the early learning goals, Personal, social and emotional development, Knowledge and understanding of the world, Communication, Language and literacy, Creative development, Mathematical development, Physical development, Bringing it all together. NB The QCA has published Early Learning Goals a curriculum framework for the foundation stage, which sets out these goals and puts them into context.
