Easter
Chocolate Easter Nests
What you will need:
- 115g (4oz) of plain or milk chocolate broken in pieces
- 50g (2oz) of butter or block margarine cut small
- 3 shredded wheat, crushed
- Jelly beans or mini chocolate eggs
What you need to do:
- First fasten a sheet of non-stick baking paper (with butter at each corner) to a flat tray or baking sheet.
- Put the chocolate and butter (or marg) into a roomy bowl.
- Melt in a microwave or over a pan of simmering water.
- Do not allow the mixture to get too hot. Stir in the crushed shredded wheat.
- When all the shreds are covered in chocolate, take a teaspoon and spoon out little mounds straight on to the non-stick paper.
- Shape each mound roughly into a nest. Drop three eggs into each nest while the chocolate is still wet.
- Allow to cool, then store in a tin until needed.
